Two Seater Comp 2021 - COVID Policy

COVID safety is now, largely, a matter of personal responsibility. The government advice for people is to test regularly, isolate when necessary and:

“Avoid close contact in enclosed spaces for extended periods.”

To that end, the club guidelines are as follows:

  • Testing

    • Everyone visiting the club (competitors, friends and family) should take a lateral flow test no more than 24 hours prior to arrival and may be asked to show evidence of a negative result on arrival (email/text message from NHS.) A second test should be taken 3-4 days later (as per government guidelines.)

    • Anyone experiencing symptoms should isolate and follow government testing guidelines.

    • Anyone testing positive should follow government guidelines (inform NHS track/trace and travel home immediately.)

    • Close contacts of anyone testing positive should also leave the club immediately (even if they are double jabbed.)

  • The Clubhouse

    • Try to avoid being in the clubhouse unless strictly necessary (eg. eating, drinking, washing etc.) Do your socialising outdoors (in the glorious sun?)

    • Toilets, showers and other washing facilities are available in the clubhouse.

  • The Bar

    • The bar will be open (with reduced seating and increased ventilation) throughout the day for food and drinks.

    • A takeaway service for food will be available (and encouraged.)

    • Please do not congregate in the bar unless you are eating/drinking.

    • There will be no ‘organised activities’ in the bar.

  • Masks

    • Masks are optional in the clubhouse/bar.

  • Morning Briefing

    • Morning briefing will be in the hangar (i.e. outside)

  • The Office:

    • No one should enter the office uninvited.

    • Bills will be emailed out a few days after the end of the competition and must be settled online using a credit/debit card (no need to queue up at the end of the competition to settle your account.)

  • Hygiene:

    • Everyone should make judicious use of hand sanitiser.

    • It is your responsibility to clean surfaces/equipment prior to interacting with them.

Everyone has a different view on what is sensible and proportionate when it comes to COVID. Please be respectful of others if their views differ.
